You can find  fabulous places to grow kids imagination when you get out and about.

Sculptures by the Sea,now on at Bondi, Sydney, has  some massive  imagination prompters.

How about clambering into an enormous frying pan?

At Tamarama Beach, Sydney they can climb in now!

Further along the walk is a tractor that looks like it could fly…

I wonder how high I could fly in it?

….and a car that must have been using that skateboard ramp at night- when no- ones around?

Do you think it can do a flip...and do the kangaroos drive it?

Maybe we can drive this throne down the road…..

One of the most fantastical sculptures is a throne, made out of a mish-mash of plastic bits and pieces- toothbrushes, kids toys, lego pieces, plastic cutlery and more. Put the crown (made out of a plastic drainer) on your head and you’re ready to be proclaimed King or Queen.( Adults and kids all wanted to sit down straight away.)

Even a King or Queen needs to eat!

Even a King or Queen needs to eat and brush their teeth!

King for the day!

After family walks, try using some stories and rhymes to match your experiences.

Or take some books along with you to sit down and read beside the sculptures. (see our suggestions below)

The Giant Frypan.

  • Sing 5 fat sausages. Here’s a rhyme and video.

Or try: Five Crispy Pancakes

Five crispy pancakes in a frying pan,

Flip them and toss them and catch them if you can.

Along came (choose a child),

For a pancake one day,

Sprinkled it with sugar and took it away.
